Thank you for your interest in scheduling your event in the City of Santa Cruz! Santa Cruz is known for its incredible weather and beautiful beach setting and is the perfect location for your event.
Although by invitation only, does involve a street closure in order to set-up tables/chairs/canopies for neighbors to mingle.
PUBLIC GATHERING & EXPRESSION (Formerly Non-Commercial )
Any political, civic, religious or other public activity intended primarily for the communication of ideas as opposed to the generation of monetary profit by the participants in or sponsors of the event or the advertisement of products, goods or services. Marches/parades that remain on sidewalks, as opposed to the street, would be included in these types of events.
FILMING for commercial purposes
Filming on public property in the City of Santa Cruz requires a permit. This application is solely for the use of public property within the City’s jurisdiction. If private property is utilized, arrangements must be made with the property owner. The Film Permit page will provide additional information and the necessary forms.
Private special events such as weddings, private picnics or park rentals are handled through the Parks and Recreation Department.
